Widget Companies in 2009: Where are they now?

About a year ago, there was an article in Billboard introducing the twelve best “Widget Companies” of 2008, which included our nimbitOMT music commerce widget. There was some prognostication about who would be taking the lead in this new widget paradigm, who were the “hot” platforms, and so on. Turns out, it’s not the widget, but the company and the approach behind it that determines overall value for the artists using any given solution (go figure).
