nimbit artists receive 100% profit from iTunes sales

Framingham, MA – September 14, 2006

nimbit has joined forces with online giant iTunes to provide an unprecedented opportunity for musicians and indie labels. When an artist sells mp3s with nimbit, those same tracks can also appear on iTunes. Presently artists can use nimbit to sell music directly from their own websites and on other independent retail sites such as CDFreedom.com. In a bold move, nimbit will pass along 100% of the iTunes profit directly to the artists and labels it serves.

Patrick Faucher, nimbit’s CEO, explains, “Our strategy is simple: Help artists make a better living by giving them a superior marketing and distribution platform while allowing them to keep as much money as possible. No other solution lets the artist keep as much revenue. Adding iTunes to nimbit’s portfolio of retail partners facilitates even greater success for our users.”
