Bob Cramer
Nimbit CEO, Bob Cramer’s first love was music. The son of an accomplished classical pianist, Bob was an active guitarist in the Boston and Bay Area music scenes of the 70s-80s. Bob’s career then took a detour into the world of high-growth, venture-backed technology business. As an investor and executive, Bob has a track record of success including CEO positions at LiveVault and FirstSense. Now through Nimbit, providers of the music industry’s premier direct-to-fan platform, Bob’s career has come full circle, putting his experience to use in helping musicians. A recognized leader in technology, management, and the music industry, Bob has appeared on the cover of Inc. Magazine and speaks regularly at music conferences including CMJ, New Music Seminar, and Rethink Music. He received his BS from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his MS from the University of California at Berkeley.

Patrick Faucher
E-commerce pioneer, accomplished musician, and self-professed technogeek, Patrick Faucher is the CTO and Co-founder of Nimbit, one of the leading digital commerce platforms for the music industry. Preceding the web’s explosion as a commercial marketplace, Patrick helped launch some of the very first online stores for renowned artists such as Aerosmith and Phish back in the late 90′s. Over the past two years, Nimbit has become the fastest growing direct-to-fan commerce and marketing platform in the music industry, powering over 10,000 online stores for artists and labels at every level. Patrick shares a deep passion for music and its value with every artist he interacts with, frequently speaking at industry events and lecturing at schools around the country. In his words, “My mission is simple – usher in the next era for the music industry by helping artists build a more sustainable business directly with their fans.” An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Patrick has toured and performed in over 20 different countries as a trumpet player, vocalist and arranger.

Phil Antoniades
Phil Antoniades, President & Founder of Nimbit, Inc is a DIY pioneer and honors graduate of the Berklee College of Music. With over twenty years in the music industry, from touring nationally as a professional drummer, owning a record label, managing nationally touring artists, and working as a producer and promoter, Phil gained experience with all facets of the direct to fan music business, and propelled his expertise into what is now the Nimbit platform.  In the early 1990’s, Phil started Johnny Brock Management, a promotions and booking agency. In 1996, he founded Artist Development Associates Inc., which provided mastering, CD manufacturing, design, and promotion services to touring indie artists. In 1997, Philip Antoniades launched the online retail venue CDfreedom.com. In 2004, Phil founded Nimbit, Inc with partner Patrick Faucher with the goal of providing the best direct-to fan platform for self-managed artists, managers, and emerging labels.

JP Twarog
As Chief Architect, J.P. charts the course for all of Nimbit’s IT related initiatives to yield an architecture that is in-line with that of the company. Despite his dominion, his cubicle is far from an ivory tower, as J.P. serves as a key member of the development team. Before co-founding Nimbit, J.P. was responsible for leading a team of developers at SureFire Commerce, Inc. in the design and support of secure, high-volume publishing systems for the company’s e-commerce platform. Prior to his work there, he founded Imprintables.com, spearheading the development of an early, rich Internet application with “WYSIWYG” image design tools. These tools yielded custom, online order processing, integrated with real-time, B2B supply chain management capabilities. J.P. holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Masters in Computer Science from Tufts University.

Carl Jacobson, Vice President of MarketingCarl Jacobson
Carl Jacobson, Nimbit’s Vice President of Marketing, describes his purpose in life as “to help people be creative and also make a living with their creativity.”  At the young age of 16, this is what he set out to do with his life and through his work here at Nimbit, it’s exactly what he’s doing today.Carl is a recognized force in music technology marketing with over 16 years of experience in bringing empowering solutions to music makers and music listeners. He was most recently the Vice President of Marketing for Cakewalk, Inc. a leading provider of music software and hardware, and in the past worked in Internet broadcasting and for both major and independent record labels. In his career, Jacobson has been blessed to help musical legends such as Ray Charles in the creation of their music; charities and television shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition to benefit at risk youth and disabled musicians; and technology giants such as Intel and Microsoft in bringing their solutions to the music marketplace. In 2006, Carl’s work was spotlighted in Kevin Roberts’ book The Lovemarks Effect.

Board of Advisors

Paul Birch - Paul Birch is an independent investor, business owner and advisor to technology companies, with more than 20 years experience as both an advisor and in senior management positions. He has worked with both private and public technology companies ranging in size from early stage to nearly $500 million in revenues and has focused on the global growth of businesses. Paul is a member and Director of Common Angels, Double-Take Software (NASDAQ – DBTK), Emerson Hospital and the Emerson Hospital Foundation.

Peter Bleyleben - Dr. Peter R. von Bleyleben currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Microfinancial, Inc (“MFI”), a publicly listed corporation. He co-founded the company in 1987 and served as Chief Executive Officer until 2002, having lead the company from its founding through a successful IPO trading on the NYSE in early 1999. Previously, Peter was Vice President and Director of the Boston Consulting Group, Inc. (“BCG”) in Boston. During his more than eight years with BCG, Peter focused his professional strategic consulting practice on the financial services and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining BCG, Peter earned an M.B.A. with distinction and honors from the Harvard Business School, an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Economics, respectively, from the Vienna Business School in Vienna, Austria and a B.S. in Computer Science from the Vienna Institute of Technology. He is also a director of the CommonAngels, Inc., a leading angel investment group.

Ian Mashiter - Ian Mashiter is an entrepreneurial executive with more than 28 years of high technology experience. Ian has raised $100 million in venture funding since 1996. Over his career, he has served as a board member, chief executive officer and Co-Founder of such innovative telecommunications companies as Dymec, Quarry Technologies, and Ennovate Networks.  Ian is a partner with Hub Angel Investment Group, LLC where he evaluates business plans for potential investment and provides advice to portfolio companies. On behalf of Hub he sits on the Nimbit board of advisors and is a board observer at Altruik. Ian is also an executive-in-residence and a lecturer at Boston University, School of Management, where he teaches entrepreneurship, strategy, and business management to MBA and undergraduate students. He holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK.

Dick Wingate - Dick Wingate is Head of East Coast Client Relations for TAG Strategic, a digital entertainment consulting firm. Previously, he helped pioneer the digital music business during his years as SVP, Content Development, at Liquid Audio, Inc. Wingate’s past experience includes senior positions at Arista, PolyGram, Epic, and Columbia Records where he was integrally involved with the development of artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, and Sarah McLachlan.

Ron Nordin - Ron Nordin serves as a director on the boards of several tech companies, including Bit9 and Awareness; has financed early creative projects by Amanda Palmer and Dresden Dolls, and film directors Michael Pope and Jessica Fox; and serves on the Board of Overseers at The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston.

Sean Lindsay - Sean Lindsay is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Viximo, the largest independent platform connecting social applications with premium social networks. Sean is also an advisor to several early stage startups and coordinates the independent FounderMentors program. Previously, Sean served in a variety of leadership roles at PanGo, BEA, Upromise, and Novera.

Mike Dreese - Mike Dreese is co-founder and CEO of Newbury Comics, Inc. Newbury Comics is an independently owned retailer with 28 locations specializing in music, movies and pop culture goods for over 30 years.

Gail Goodman - Gail Goodman is president and CEO of Constant Contact, the leading brand for email marketing solutions within the small business sector.

David Friend - Successful serial entrepreneur and product visionary, David Friend is founder of ARP Instruments, one of the pioneers of synthesizer technology. David is also the founder of Carbonite Inc., which provides automatic online backup of PC user data.

Don Rose - Don Rose is the founder of Rykodisc Records, the label that pioneered the retail success of the digital CD format, with artists such as David Bowie, Frank Zappa and The Grateful Dead.
